No sooner did we here at The Energy Fix tip our hats last week to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and its President Denise Bode for offering a plausible extension of the wind Production Tax Credit (PTC), the very next day she resigned.

AWEA faces a difficult future as do many renewable energy trade groups. Due to low prices and plentiful supplies of natural gas, as well as, lower-cost competition from Asian manufacturers, the wind industry has lost about 10,000 of the roughly 85,000 jobs that existing in the U.S. during the recent peak of domestic production.

So we ask you our readers how, with or without the PTC, should AWEA alter its course as 2013 begins?
